That's why we're proud to offer the Another Chance Grant, a quarterly grant program that provides financial assistance to qualifying small businesses and nonprofit organizations working to strengthen their communities, overcome challenges, and create lasting impact.

From Immigrant to Entrepreneur: The Journey of Patrice S. Jordan
Patrice S. Jordan’s story is one of resilience, determination, and unwavering faith in the power of second chances. As an immigrant, Patrice faced more hardship than most can imagine. She arrived in the United States with big dreams but limited resources. To make ends meet, she worked 2-3 jobs at a time, often sacrificing sleep and time with her family to build a better future. Despite the odds, Patrice never gave up on her vision of creating a life of stability and success not just for herself, but for others who shared her struggles.

A Journey of Overcoming Adversity
Patrice’s path was far from easy. At one point, she even experienced homelessness while raising her child. But through it all, she held onto her entrepreneurial spirit. She started her first business as an immigrant, navigating the complexities of entrepreneurship with grit and determination. Her unique approach to business rooted in her lived experiences taught her the value of resilience, resourcefulness, and community support.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Patrice watched as countless small businesses struggled to survive. But instead of retreating, she took a leap of faith. She quit her two full-time jobs and fully committed to entrepreneurship. While many businesses were failing, Patrice thrived. Her ability to adapt, innovate, and persevere during one of the most challenging times in history is a testament to her strength and vision.
